I shot this video in preparation for my trip to Shanghai & Saigon in 2 weeks…
This is an exposure test on the galaxy s7 edge… the original footage was shot in 4k and looks amazing natively, but it looks like crap after you increase the speed of the clips as significantly as I did for this
While we did see Great Horned Owls, amazing eye-level encounters with Bald Eagles, Black Crowned Night Herons and MUCH more… I did manage to miss capturing video footage of some of yesterday’s more exciting moments – still, an amazing day had by all with the Vancouver Photo Workshops Meetup group!

Some of you may have noticed that I’ve switched my focus and I’m no longer doing sessions with (or for) aspiring models. It doesn’t mean I’ve disappeared though… I’ve been working HARD on the 4 categories/videos found on my new workshops page, check it out…
Stay tuned for my return from Shanghai, Saigon & Cambodia where I’ll be shooting everything in 4k video!
See you all when I’m back!!
I’m ALMOST ready to launch my social media marketing campaign for my Outdoor Portrait Workshop…. almost, not quite. The funny thing is… I haven’t even marketed the workshop, and it’s already 2/3 full! I think I’m going to have to run it for 2 days in a row, to accommodate all the anticipated attendees!
I’m still finalizing minor details and am still in the process of building the promotional video, but here’s a sample video in the meantime…
The website is live and the payment system is setup, so if you or anyone you know is interested, everything you/they need to know is here: http://www.PeteJones.ca/workshop
Just had an amazing test shoot with Phoebe – this girl can brave the cold!

Had another great meetup with my Meetup.com group last night!
Join us next time when we photograph the Lion’s Gate Bridge at sunset (May 21st): http://www.meetup.com/VancouverPhotoWorkshops
I’m pretty sure that I don’t like how the mountain line is so close to the bridge line, but I’ve got no problem returning to this place for sunsets until I get it right…. what a GORGEOUS night it was in my beautiful city!
