it would appear that I finally have all the problems sorted out with getting my new car to Alberta from BC and putting her on the road! It was a total nightmare, but I’m just glad it’s all over!
So, it was a GORGEOUS autumn day in Calgary yesterday and I decided to hit the highway! I ended up in Banff when it was all said and done, but I discovered some new areas that were absolutely beautiful this time of year (or any for that matter).
I was flying down winding country roads fenced in by the neon yellow color of the fall trees. The sun rays would cut through the trees and illuminate the loose leaves that were floating back to the road in the wake of my new Mazda 6! I should have recorded it… it was stunning… it certainly would have made for an incredible Mazda commercial – lol Either way… it was the most amazing Sunday country drive I’ve ever taken and I’ll never forget it.
Unfortunately some of the more beautiful areas were difficult or impossible to pul over in, so i just took it all in and tried not to let the urge to photograph it get to me… i was really trying to just enjoy it and soak it all up before I wasted the rest of the day’s light taking photos by the side of the road. (I knew that if i stopped and pulled out my camera… i’d end up spending hours trying to get that ‘perfect shot’ along that stretch of road!
It was nice… no photos to descibe everything I saw that day, and by the time I got to the moutains I had lost all light, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself!
